Redecorating a Lounge, Boar Head Close, New Moston.

The ceiling in this lounge had been damaged by a leak from the bathroom above, which in turn had also damaged the paper on the walls.

These are pictures taken prior to starting the work.

The project was to strip the existing paper from the walls, remove the loose paint from the ceiling, re-paper in lining paper to three elevations, paint the woodwork,  ceiling & newly papered walls and apply a feature wallpaper to the main wall.

The ceiling was treated with polycell damp cure where appropriate then given two coats of trade white emulsion. The woodwork was in good condition and was initially given a coat of ‘Dulux’  trade white undercoat, before a topcoat of ‘Dulux’ trade brilliant white satinwood. The walls were all given a good coat of  ’Dulux’ ‘Chic Shadow’ matt emulsion. A Graham & Brown superior quality embossed wallpaper was put on the main feature wall.

On completion we also agreed to assist with hanging a few new pictures and also a new centre light fitting to the ceiling.

The difference is amazing!
